Cable or Satellite TV?

There are a lot of reasons why people choose either a  cable or satellite TV systems.  There are advantages and disadvantages to both. With a cable TV system, people usually live inside the city limits of town, as cable networks are not readily available in the outskirts and more rural areas. It makes no economic sense for the cable company to string wires in these more remote areas.

Most newer homes are built with cable ready access, making installation a simple process for almost anyone to accomplish.  Cable TV is a popular form of television viewing as it is often less expensive than other forms.  There is no dish or other equipment that is more difficult to install.

Although Satellite TV systems appear to be a bit more complex on the surface, they have many good qualities as well.  Satellites can be customized to pick up channels from other countries, as well as the one in which you reside.  If you are from Brazil, for example, there is a set of channels that are only Brazilian that will allow you to see the latest news and shows from your home country.  A satellite system will usually offer more channels then that of most cable tv providers.
